No, Tata Motors is offering the first software update to its existing customers, free of charge, from 25th July'22 onwards, at its Authorised Service Centres. To ensure a seamless transition, Tata Motors will roll-out an educative programme for the customers soon. Subsequent software updates to all existing owners will be on paid basis.

The on-road price differential of EV and ICE is relatively much lower compared to ex-showroom price differential, due to, GST, road tax & registration benefits. While GST on electric vehicles is uniformly 5%, road tax and registration benefits differ across States in India (e.g. 0% road tax for EV against 12% road tax for ICE in Mumbai). Additionally under FAME II, for individual buyers, there is an additional income tax deduction of Rs 1.5 lakh on the interest paid on loans taken to buy EVs. Once you have purchased the Tata Nexon EV and completed the KYC, our representative will help you to register yourself with Tata Motors ZConnect App and to activate the SIM inside the car. To authenticate your Login simply enter your registered mobile number followed by the 4 digits PIN that you have set.
Even in an unfortunate case of loss of your smartphone, you can still reconnect with the Tata Motors ZConnect App. Just download the Tata Motors ZConnect App on the new device, enter your registered mobile number and secret PIN which will be verified with an OTP to confirm your identity.
The telematics SIM is primarly provided by Airtel; however, it comes with a unique benefit which enables it to switch to an alternate network in case of low range without any interruption. The alternate network is provided by BSNL.
Yes, of course. As long as your vehicle is still in the free subscription period or has an active Connected Car subscription, you can use the Tata Motors ZConnect App being a 2nd owner of the vehicle. If your vehicle is still enrolled with the previous owner, you can contact our call centre (1800 209 8282) and request for ownership transfer. Upon verification of your ownership, the call centre agent will enroll your car for our Connected Car services. On the expiry of vehicle warranty or subscription, necessary charges will be applicable for the services.

The vehicle owner or master user of the Tata Motors ZConnect App can give authority to others to use the Connected Car services. The 'Share my App' feature will give you the detailed procedure.
The ‘Child Account' section under the settings bar of the mobile app, when selected, allows the user to share the app step by step.
The ZConnect App can only have one Master user. If the Master user installs the app on a new device, the previous app on the old device will also work. However, a customer can add Child Users up to 5, but those child users are restricted to access remote commands.
